- Monday, September 3:
- Genesis 1:1 – What do the first 4 words of the Bible teach us about God? Describe what the word eternal looks like from your perspective. How does God’s eternal nature differ from the eternal life we have in Christ.
- Tuesday, September 4:
- Exodus 3 – What do you think God meant when He used the words “I AM” to describe Himself? Why would that have been important to Moses and His people? How does God’s eternal nature impact the way you live?
- Wednesday, September 5:
- Romans 1:20 – What does creation reveal about God? How? What is something God has made that makes His nature “clear” to you?
Note: The daily studies for Monday through Wednesday will form the basis for our small group discussions on Wednesday evenings.
- Thursday, September 6:
- Isaiah 40 – How is man characterized in this chapter? How about idols made by man? How does God compare? How does that influence the way you interact with God?
- Friday, September 7:
- Isaiah 9:1-7; Matthew 1:18-25 – According to Matthew’s gospel, who is the child Isaiah describes? In what way does he fit the description given by Isaiah, particularly in verse 6? Why is that important to you today?
- Saturday, September 8:
- John 8:31-59 – Toward the end of the text, Jesus makes the statement, “Before Abraham was born, I am”. How did those who heard this react? Why?
- Sunday, September 9:
- 1 Timothy 1:15-17 – There are at least 6 characteristics of God mentioned by Paul. What are they? What would it be like living under a “King eternal” if the other qualities mentioned by Paul were not present?
