“It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-13
Here at the Deer Run Church of Christ, we seek to listen to God in our Bible study times to enhance our unity in fellowship and service. Therefore, this is an exciting and vital time for you to be involved in our study times in order that everyone “may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith . . . and become mature”.
Our Bible study times (Wednesday night classes and Sunday School) follow a theme each week that is introduced with the Sunday morning sermon. Each week’s theme will be developed from the year-long theme; “A View From the Top: What does God say?” We aim to find out together and to put that answer into practice as a church with one mind, one purpose .
This series began in September 2007 and will continue through August 2008.
Our adult Bible study classes are discussion-oriented sessions led by the Elders along with David Honeycutt and Tom Lemler using material developed by David.
Whether or not you have been involved in the Wednesday night classes and/or Sunday School, there is a place for you in this new approach. There is a place for everyone, so come join us in this adventure!
This is an exciting time for Deer Run as we come together as one, “attaining the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”
Make plans now to be a part of one purpose . . . God’s purpose!
